Experience Sheringham is committed to protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. This policy applies to all photography competitions we run, including the Sheringham 1940s Weekend Photography Competition.
1. General Principles
We will not knowingly publish photos of identifiable children or vulnerable adults without written parental/guardian consent.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring they have obtained the necessary permissions for anyone featured in their photos.
Any entries raising safeguarding concerns will not be accepted or published.
We reserve the right to crop, edit, or withhold images for safeguarding reasons.
2. Consent
If children (under 18) or vulnerable adults are clearly identifiable in an image, entrants must have written parental/guardian consent before submission.
Entrants must accept the terms and conditions of the competition using the entry form, and if applicable, confirm consent has been obtained by uploading a signed consent form with their entry submission.
We understand this adds an extra step, and that by the nature of the event, it may not always be possible to obtain permission afterwards. To avoid disappointment, we recommend printing a few copies of the form before the weekend and carrying them with you if you plan to take part in the competition.
