Pretty Corner Tea Garden has been serving up tea and cake to locals and visitors since 1926, only taking a break for WW2 and Covid19.
Before it re-opens the new owners are furbishing the kitchen and renovating the grounds. “Tea and cake will still be our thing. But expect locally sourced healthy meals and snacks with a hearty daily soup, flavoured with herbs grown in the garden, and our newly restored vintage greenhouse,” says proprietor Marina Baker. “We’ll be plastic free, provide chargers for vehicles and ebikes, go organic where possible and support local related businesses such as coffee roasters, veg growers and cheese makers.
We also plan pre-booked pop ups in the evenings for upcoming cooks and chefs to trial recipes and ideas.
