St. Andrew`s Methodist Church, with its recently refurbished worship area, welcomes you.

Our worship on Sunday is at 10.30 a.m. 

And a Thursday Communion service at 10.00 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month.

Our Minister is Rev. Diane Grice.

The church is on one level and is accessible for everyone, with accessible toilet, large print hymn books, and braille hymn books available, and registered with `Sight Loss Friendly Church`.

Throughout the week various church groups and activities take place, including, Warm space; Do Drop In café;  Fellowship choir; Encompass – social group;  table-tennis club; New Music group; `The Bridge`, for those living with dementia and their carers;  Bowls club; and more….

A warm welcome is given to everyone.

The premises are also used by a number of community groups on a regular basis.

We hold a large annual Flower Festival each year, and the date can be found on our website.  There are also other various events held throughout the year.

We are part of the North Norfolk Circuit of the Methodist Church, and of the East Anglia District of the Methodist Church.

Built and opened in 1968, the church has many symbolic features within the building.

The Worship area is hexagonal in shape, and had a big refurbishment in 2024 and when the pews were removed, and chairs and some tables installed, and a ramp to make easier access to the raised front area, which was also enlarged.  The Communion Rail and Table are circular symbolising the “togetherness” of the congregation and are crafted in stainless steel.   A beautiful semi-circular coloured window is placed behind the rail, designed and constructed by King & Son of Norwich, renowned stained glass specialists.

Above the Table hangs a central light with twelve surrounding lights symbolising Christ and his disciples. The Pulpit is shaped like the prow of a boat. The Lectern is removable, providing space for small dramas, sketches, and other performances at the front. Three lights hang above the Pulpit, Lectern, and Cross, paying homage to the Holy Trinity. The rough-hewn Cross stands 10 feet tall and can be illuminated from the rear.   Carpets of blue and gold represent sea and sand.
