Be Part of the Magic This Christmas!
The Sheringham Elf Hunt is back — and this year it’s bigger, brighter, and even more engaging for families and visitors!
We’re inviting local businesses to take part in this year’s festive trail by hosting one of our mischievous elves. It’s a brilliant way to spread some Christmas cheer, bring people into town, and encourage shoppers to discover everything Sheringham has to offer.
How It Works
There are 54 ‘Window Elves’ available for shop-front businesses. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t delay!
Each participating business will:
Choose a fun elf name (e.g. Tinsel Tom, Snowflake Sue, Jingle Jack — or something that ties into your business theme).
Hide your elf in your window, along with its name.
Help spread the word by encouraging visitors to find your elf, take photos, and share them on social media with #SheringhamElfHunt.
New for 2025 – Online Elves!
To make the hunt inclusive for all our local businesses — even those without a shop window — we’re introducing Online Elves this year.
If you’re an online business or work from home, you can host an elf on either your Facebook or Instagram page (please choose one).
Families taking part will be encouraged to visit your social page to find your elf, giving you a great chance to share your Christmas promotions, offers, or festive content at the same time.

Just a little Christmas housekeeping! if two elves happen to share the same name, the first to sign up keeps it! And if a name’s a bit too naughty for Santa’s list, we’ll give your elf a brand-new one.
